Sixty-two teams are moving an American flag across the country, and it made a stop in Tucson.
Over a thousand athletes take part in the Old Glory Relay, facing all kinds of terrain and weather conditions.
The coast-to-coast run is a 4,216 mile journey.
On Thursday, runners made their way through the University of Arizona campus. The run continued on to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and through Vail, to Benson City Hall.
This is an annual run, organized by Team Red, White and Blue, a non-profit organization that helps veterans make the transition from military to civilian life.
The relay began in Washington on Sept. 11, and will finish on Veterans Day, in Tampa, Fla.
