LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A single American flag is making its way across the United States.

It's all part of the "Old Glory Relay" and Thursday morning, it will be in Louisville before traveling 50 miles to Frankfort.

The flag started in San Francisco on September 11th, and is headed to Washington, D.C. It's set to arrive by Veteran's Day.

59 teams of runners will be moving the single flag across the 3,540 journey. It's organized by Team Red, White and Blue - a nonprofit with a mission to enrich the lives of American's veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.

The "Old Glory Relay" is also fundraising for Team Red, White and Blue.

They have a goal of raising $100,000 and have raised over $70,000 to date.
